Here are answers to common questions. If you cannot find what you need, please email us at the address below.
Lock Screen
My tasks do not show up on the Lock Screen
When you add a task, your top task appears as a card on the Lock Screen. If you do not see the card, open the iPhone Settings app, tap Dollop, and check that "Live Activities" is turned on.
How do I add a Lock Screen widget?
- Touch and hold the Lock Screen, then tap "Customize".
- Choose the Lock Screen, then tap the widget area below the clock.
- Find Dollop in the list, add a widget, and tap "Done".
You can watch an animated guide in "Widgets and quick add" in the app's Settings.
The Lock Screen card disappeared
iOS shows a Lock Screen card for up to 12 hours. If "Show card when app opens" is on in the app's Settings (it is on at first), the card comes back when you open the app.
On a day when you swiped the card away, it does not come back when you open the app. In that case, add Dollop's "Show card" widget to your Lock Screen and tap it to bring the card back right away.
Notifications
I am not getting notifications
- In the iPhone Settings app, go to Notifications, tap Dollop, and check that "Allow Notifications" is on.
- If a Focus such as Do Not Disturb or Sleep is on, notifications may arrive silently. Add Dollop to the allowed apps in your Focus settings.
- During "Quiet hours" in the app's Settings, nag-me reminders do not repeat. Reminders set for a specific time still arrive.
- If you deleted and reinstalled the app, you need to allow notifications again.
The morning weather alert does not come every day
At first, the morning weather alert comes only on days with rain or snow on the way (a 50% or higher chance) or when the morning low is at least 9 degrees Fahrenheit (5 degrees Celsius) colder than the day before. In the morning weather alert settings in the app, you can also choose days that are hotter than yesterday, days with a big temperature swing, and days with strong UV, or turn on daily alerts. The default time is 7:30 AM, and you can change it in the app's Settings.
To get a forecast, Dollop needs a registered "Home" place or location permission. Without either, it cannot send weather alerts.
Add by voice
Add by voice is not working
Add by voice needs microphone and speech recognition permissions. Please allow them the first time you tap the mic button. If you did not allow them, open the iPhone Settings app, tap Dollop, and turn on "Microphone" and "Speech Recognition".
What you say is turned into text only on your iPhone and is never sent anywhere.
Place reminders
Place reminders are not working
Place reminders need to know the moment you arrive at or leave a place, even when the app is not open, so location permission must be set to "Always". Open the iPhone Settings app, tap Dollop, set Location to "Always", and turn on "Precise Location".
Whether you arrive at or leave a place is determined only on your iPhone.
iCloud sync
My devices are not syncing
- Both devices need to be signed in to iCloud with the same Apple Account.
- In the iPhone Settings app, tap your name and then iCloud, and check that Dollop is turned on in the list of apps using iCloud.
- Check that "iCloud sync" is turned on in the app's Settings.
- Open the app once on each device while connected to the internet, and they will catch up. This can take a few minutes.
Where are my tasks stored?
Your tasks are stored only on your iPhone and, if you turned on iCloud sync, in your own iCloud. We cannot see them, so we cannot restore them for you. You can keep a separate copy of important tasks with "Export (CSV)" in the app's Settings.
Purchases
PLUS disappeared after I changed devices
Check that you are signed in to the App Store with the Apple Account you used for the purchase, then tap "Restore purchases" in the app's Settings.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open the iPhone Settings app, tap your name, tap "Subscriptions", choose Dollop, and tap "Cancel Subscription". You can open the same screen from "Manage subscription" at the top of the app's Settings.
Even after you cancel, you can keep using PLUS until the end of the period you already paid for. If you are in the 7-day free trial of the yearly subscription, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid being charged.
I would like a refund
App Store payments are processed by Apple, so refunds are also requested from Apple. Tap "Purchases and refunds" in the app's Settings, or go to reportaproblem.apple.com, choose the purchase, and request a refund. Apple decides whether to grant a refund. Because we do not have your payment information, we cannot issue refunds directly.
